Today was my first ever styling expedition (YAY!) and Ms. Caroline Poston let me take over–uh oh! We spent about an hour and a half chatting up a storm and looking through her closet for things she never wears, things she loves, and things she dislikes. As I went through each piece, I found tops and dresses and skirts and ensembles that would work perfect for the look she was going for. Check out the new looks below and how I turned Caroline’s “eh” pieces into something she LOVES!
This look was one of Caroline’s favs–and mine too! The “shorts” underneath her sweater are actually a stylish romper underneath. This look is very versatile and can be worn in the summer without the sweater, or with the sweater to keep it classy and comfortable for fall. You can wear this look with multiple different sweaters over top, or just alone with a pair of cute wedges. Such an awesome look for so many different occasions!
As we transitioned into a more sassy downtown look, Caroline had an awesome leather skirt I really wanted to work with. We found a simple black tank and tied it in a knot to show off the high-waisted leather skirt and found layers of jewelry to pull it all together. This sassy look is one of favorites–black on black is so in!
GO DAWGS BABY! This adorable Georgia red romper is paired with a suede bohemian vest which adds a little black to the perfect combo: red & black. We found this beautiful necklace to add some more boho to the look and to pull the ensemble all together. I fell in LOVE with the necklace, and love how awesome this outfit shines on Caroline with her strawberry blonde hair.
This look was another fav–very soft and bohemian. This kimono can be worn either with a dress underneath or an ensemble like this. The coral top pulls the color out of the kimono and blends it very well with the jean skirt. This comfy outfit can be worn downtown or to lunch. Love love love!
We found this hunter green tank dress in the back of her closet, almost like it had been stuffed away. This cute new tank vest really added something to the simple dress, and with the many layers around her neck, the entire outfit looks absolutely complete. This look is awesome for downtown, shopping, rush, and just about anything!
Last but not least–this is def one of my favs. This white top was stuffed behind all the rest and finally found its home today in a brand new ensemble. Her fav high waisted black jeans, which look incredible on her, were paired with the simple white tank with the same suede black vest to shape the look to be complete. The jewelry really pulls the outfit all together and gives it a professional, but sassy look. Can’t wait to see it in Athens!
