As the halfway point of our summer approaches, shopping needs are slowly but surely moving from hot summer crop tops to cuddle-worthy knit sweaters. If you’re in high school and below, the time has come to start the search for skirts and shorts that meets dress code, so you can still survive the humid Georgia heat as you approach your next year of school. If you’re in college, get ready girl–try to find the least amount of clothing possible (aka a srat tank and shorts) to wear to class as you walk in the sweltering heat to your next class all the way across campus. Summer has gone by so quickly, and soon enough we’re gonna be searching boutiques for the most stylish pair of tights, booties, and comfy sweaters.
This edgy 90’s look is perfect for a night out with the girls, a day shopping in the city, or lunch with your favorite family members. This cutesy, black, ripped dress highlights your curves from waist down. The black pulls all the tan out of your skin (well at least olive-toned Danielle) and makes your skin look way darker than it may be! The dress has rips around the hips, chest, and edges of seams, but keeps it a little classy by covering the areas that need to be covered. This dress, from Tobi, is super affordable. Tobi offers a 50% off code for your first purchase, which I highly recommend and was probably over-used by every e-mail to my name. This black dress is comfortable and very versatile. The jean vest comes from my mother’s own young-adult closet, and I am unsure of where it was originally from, but I think it was Gap. I stole this vest away and took it to college! It also is a very versatile piece and adds 90’s flare to the outfit. As mentioned in another blog post, this black flower choker is from America’s Mart. I have worn out the welcome with this small piece, but it is necessary for this edgy, 90’s look. The black choker pulls all the colors together, and enhances the black dress hidden under neath the oversized jean vest. This Fab’rik champagne-pink velvet hat is super affordable, $12, and gives this look a completed, casual style. I wear this trendy hat with old t-shirts and jean shorts to ripped jeans, heels and a edgy blouse.
